Founder and Managing Member
Candice Maasdorp, a registered member of the South African Council for Planners (SACPLAN), is the Founder and Managing Member of Sustainable Planning Solutions. She completed a Bachelor’s degree at the University of Stellenbosch specialising in Music and Psychology in 1997. In 1999, she completed her Masters degree in Town and Regional Planning at the University of Stellenbosch.
Her more than 20 years of experience in the built environment and development industry stretches back to when she launched her career as a town planner with BCD Town and Regional Planners based in Table View, Cape Town, in 2000.
In December 2010, Candice registered her own Town and Regional Planning Consultancy under the name of Sustainable Planning Solutions.
Since 2008, Candice has held a position on the Executive Committee for the Western Cape Branch for the South African Black Technical and Allied Careers Organisation (SABTACO). She was later elected as the chairperson for the 2012 – 2014 term.
Candice has been a member of the national Executive Committee for SABTACO since 2017.
In 2017 Candice was one of 20 industry professionals selected for the Investec and En-novate Young Entrepreneurs trip to Helsinki, Finland.
